Yes. Itunes often offers free songs that you can legally download. You can also check Adult Swim, which does the same. When you have downloaded the music, you can either burn it onto a CD using Itunes or Windows Media.

There's lots of ways to legally download free music. There's some great places like , Stereogum, and AltSounds that have been offering free music for download for years. As long as the cd is for personal use, you'll be able to burn it onto a cd. Just don't turn around and sell it!

If with free you mean the artist actually published his or her music for free, like an official free download, then it is legal. You should always check the license agreement first to be sure.

Unfortunately the majority of music today (99.9%) is copyrighted meaning that if you want to play that song on a personal electronic device such as a computer or ipod, you need to pay for it. Music is considered art and the "artists" expect a payment in return. Sorry.

Unless the artist has specifically allowed free downloads of their music, no. Sometimes you can find free music on sites like iTunes, and sometimes artists have free downloads of their songs on their website. The majority of free music downloads, however, are illegal.

There is no such thing as LEGAL free music. You can join subscription sites that will let you buy songs and then burn them onto cds. You can Google 'free music site' but, like I said, there is no LEGAL solution. There are many, many pirate sites, but those neither support the economy, nor the artists themselves.
