Not quite. At one time, American actor Nicolas Cage was developing a project that would have starred himself as the legendary poker player. However, the project has been dropped. This is possibly due to the poor performance of several recent poker-related movies, but no official reason for the cancellation was ever issued.

I don't believe there is a movie about Amarillo Slim. There are movies that mention famous poker players, such as Rounders, but no autobiographical films as far as I know.

There's no biopic about his life, but Mr. Slim did have a bit part, playing himself, in 1974's Robert Altman flick, "California Split."

According to an interview by Ryan Stewart of Moviefone, filmmaker Miloš Forman was asked by someone in Hollywood if he'd consider making a film about Amarillo Slim. The film would star Nicolas Cage. Forman said it depended on the script and no one ever sent him a script for the project. No other film project about Slim has been produced.
