There are a few ways you can do this. The most common is to find some sort of Virtual Machine (VM) software, and install an virtual version of it on your computer. VMWare has a good free tool to do this.

There are many options as far as emulation on Windows goes. Probably the most wide spread and renowned is VMWare workstation, in its various forms, which offers you many choices and is able to auto-install a great host of systems. However, you could also choose to use something like Microsoft Virtual PC.

Yes there is one. It is all Win4Lin Pro; it also runs 2000. The company to makes this software is moving away from desktop virtualizations so you can no longer get the software diretly from them, but you can still locate it online for purchase (costing approximately $100.00) on .

None that i am aware of. But you can use Microsoft VirtualPC or Sun VirtualBox to create a virtual machine and install a full fledged linux on that. That way you get you linux running in a window of Windows XP. Both of those programs are available for free from the respective websites.
