Yes, according to Oxford University's Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics in 2007. The LRRTM1 gene has been shown to increase the odds of a person being left-handed and also controls, to an extent, which part of a person's brain regulates functions such as speech and emotion.

Handedness is an inborn trait. As such, it is genetic. However, it is not currently certain whether it is the result of a single gene or the interaction of several genes. It should be noted that right handedness--or ambidexterity, for that matter--is also genetic.
