BC Ferries provide a ferry service to Prince Rupert, a town located on the north coast of British Columbia. Year round service is offered from both Vancouver Island and the mainland. Service to Prince Rupert from ports in the south east of Alaska is also available through the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system.

Both the Alaska State Ferry System and BC Ferries go to Prince Rupert. Prince Rupert lists itself as the Gateway City for Southeast Alaska and the fishing center of the Northwest, so ferry service should be pretty accommodating. Both the companies I have listed have comprehensive websites.
