No, no, no and no. Like many other things demonstrated on TV, the ease with which it works in the ad and the reality of home use are completely different things. Don't waste your money, buy a small, used regular sewing machine. You'll be much happier.

No, in my opinion the Handy Stitch is not a reliable way to make clothing repairs. I would buy an inexpensive sewing machine to do your repairs with. That way, you can be sure that the stitches will hold. You will also get several different kinds of stitching with a full size sewing machine, which is better.

In a word "No". This is a cheap product that doesn't work. If you just need to make repairs, just do it by hand.

I think that the Handy Stitch sewing machine would be a great investment. I use mine frequently, and recommend it to my friends and family.
