No hand stitch will be exactly like a machine's, but you can get a similar look by using a backstitch if you make the stitches very evenly. It's made like two steps forward, one step back. Make one stitch, start the next stitch backwards one stitch length away, then come forward so it lines up with the first, then repeat.
