Is teen bodybuilding dangerous?

Extreme bodybuilding during puberty can put intense pressure on a teenager's growing body. Bodybuilding, as opposed to weightlifting, should typically be avoided until the age of 18 or 19 to prevent any ill effect on their growth.

There are concerns about teens lifting weights. The best thing to do is to consult a doctor and get a recommendation for your child, better to be safe than sorry.
