Is Super Cat considered the founder of the Jamaican dancehall movement?

Sugar Minott is credited as the originator of this trend in the 1960's. Super Cat aka "Don Dada" and "The Wild Apache" born William Maragh in Kingston, Jamaica in 1963. During the late 80's and early 90's changes took place with this movement, Super Cat is originator of new movement.

He is considered a star of Jamaican dancehall reggae and may be considered by some the founder. His performances during the late 80's and early 90's certainly did a lot to establish this despite personal and legal issues. Even yet today he has continued to impress his audience and retain support for his niche in entertainment.

One of them, many came out at the same time one was King Jammy, Sugar Minott, and Roots Radics, and Henry Lawes to name a few.

No, it was not considered the founder of the Jamaican dancehall movement. Because the super cat was born in Kingston at Jamaica, and was popular at the time of late 1980's and early 1990's of dancehall movement. His nickname was Wild Apache and many more like Don Dada, Cat-a-Rock. He was the elder brother of reggae star Junior cat
