Is "Statistics for Dummies" a helpful book?

I don't want to spend my money on it if it's not going to help me.

It depends on what you need. The book covers early to mid-level statistics and is more of an overview of the topic. The book also lacks practice problems. But if you need help with the basics, then it'll be of use.

It is a good companion to high school statistics or introduction to statistics courses at a college level. It is not a good fit for advanced math classes.
