Is SSKI or Iodide a treatment for scars?

There are many OTC scar treatments, but most don't work as well as advertised. I've tried many ways of getting rid of scars. The only remedies that worked were lemon juice and lavender essential oil. Rub a few drops of lemon juice or the oil over the scar and massage it in gently. It takes a week to see results.

SSKI(saline saturated potassium iodine) and Iodide are treatments for thyroid dysfunction not for scars. SSKI inhibits thyroid hormone formation. These drugs are used as a prep before a thyroidectomy, protection of thyroid in radiation therapy and in a thyrotoxic crisis.

Yes SSKI or Potassium Iodide is a safetreatment for scars.Rub SSKI Twice daily on the effected part. (More application may offer good results)spite the treatment persistence pays off.Take proper care.

Well those are good but you can also use some natural treatments. You can just use BIO GEL treatment. It works great or also the bio gel solution for scars.
