Is Selsun shampoo good for dogs with worms?

Human shampoos are never good for pets. For fleas or other external parasites, use a medicated dog shampoo specific for those purpose. Use a flea treatment such as Advantage or Frontline will also remove and prevent external parasites. For internal parasite you must go to a veterinarian for de-wormers.

The best treatment for a dog with worms is a dewormer. Selsun shampoo won't do much to get rid of the worms. Use an oral dewormer or you can also use the topical parasite remover and preventative Revolution.

Shampoo should not be used to treat worms. There are medications that your vet can give you to treat worms, which can be caused by a number of different things.

From what ive heard,Selsun Blue or anti-fungal shampoos, are sometimes effective towards worm parasites in humans, from what i know, it would have no effect on "worms" in a canine.

If your dog has Worms you need to look at treatment elsewhere. Take your dog to the Vet and get his worms treated. You can then give him a bath in DOG shampoo. Most human shampoos are not tested on pets and can actually be absorbed through the skin and paw pads and hurt them.
