Is Purex laundry detergent just as good as Tide?

Yes purex is just as good as tide. Purex is a little cheaaper than tide. They have the same active ingredients.

I have used both Purex and Tide. Purex is just as good as Tide and less expensive. Purex is a good choice especially if you are on a limted budget. I haven't seen any difference between the two.

Powder or liquid Purex does just as well as Tide. Purex works great in cold water, too. Purex is at least three times cheaper than Tide, and you get your money's worth. Therefore if you want clean clothes at a cheaper price, I would recommend spending your money on Purex.

Purex laundry detergent is supposed to be more "gentle" than Tide detergent. Purex makes alot of detergents caterred to clothing that is more difficult to wash as in ladies under garments and things that involve lace. But for everyday items (jeans, t-shirts, etc) they would be about the same thing.

Purex and Tide do have many of the same ingredients, however for really stubborn stains, such as grass stains, Tide is better. For everyday laundry that isn't too dirty, Purex can clean just as well as Tide and is cheaper. If you do use Purex for tougher laundry stains, you can add some Borax for extra boost.
