Both are effective when it comes to cleaning laundry, but the difference is that powder detergent tends to leave remnants on the wash, which could lead to allergies and itching. Liquid detergent tends to rinse away cleaner than powder, which eliminates the itching that could be caused by remaining powder detergent.

Although you might not see a difference in cleaning power, many people prefer liquid detergent as it dissolves more easily in the water. It is less likely to leave residue that can irritate the skin.

It is better to buy powdered laundry detergent, because you get more detergent for your money. Liquid laundry detergent is just powdered laundry detergent mixed in water. Though, it is better to use liquid if you are washing cold.
