Is our congress deliberative and representative?

The United States Congress is completely out of touch with the people in the USA. For the most part they seem to not read a single bill. Until term limits and the and they're retirement and health insurance plan have been altered nothing will change.

Yes it's both. Representative in that districts vote on who will represent them in Congress and deliberative in that Congress exists to for representatives to discuss issues for their constituents. The committee system is the prime example of deliberative portion of congress as it is here where bills are formed.

Yes they are, well thats what they are supposed to be. But its been a while since I've seen any kind of reprensentation on my behalf.

The United States congress is both deliberative and representative. Deliberative means that they "deliberate," or discuss opposing views on issues. Representative means that they represent the population and they are supposed to make decisions on behalf of the people who live in the districts that elected them. Good luck with your class.

Technically, yes. Congress is made up of people who are representative of either states (Senators) or specific numbers of people (Congressmen). There are doubts though as to whether Congress represents the voters or the donors. The passage of a law requires a specific process(committee vote, floor vote, reconciliation, signing).
