As long as it can not be ingested, it's fine (ie, on the back, or on the neck. ) If it is ingested by the rabbit, it can lead to GI Stasis, which is deadl. y
Rabbits are so sentitive. Everything I have read says not to put anything on them, I sure dont want to make it worse. I think will just keep a very close eye on him and go from their.
Neosporin should be safe for your rabbit when used sparingly. Make sure you plain Neosporin and NOT Neosporin Plus. It has lidocaine in it and it's not recommended for rabbits.
I think it is okay to use REGULAR Neosporin, not any with added pain reliever or anything else. Bactiracin or Vaseline would probably suffice as well, given the severity of the injury. Just keep an eye on your rabbit to make sure she doesn't lick it all off (if it's in a location where s/he can.)
Yes, I believe it would be safe to use on your rabbit's skin. In the past, I have had a veterinarian suggest that I use for a open sore on my dog. As a result, I really think that it would be okay to use for a rabbit, too.
no do not use any antibiotic on any bunny ever. bunny has a very interesting digestion system and micro organisims are a big part of it . antibiotics can be very harmful. just keep wound clean and dry hell be ok
