A puppy really shouldn't be allowed to bite. They don't realize that humans injure easier than they do since we lack fur. If your puppy uses roughhouse behavior appropriate for another dog on you, end the game immediately. Puppy play groups are also a good place for your puppy to learn appropriate behavior regarding play.

Puppies should play but they also need to be trained what is too rough and what is OK. We taught our puppy to chase things and play tug-a-war with only his toys and not our hands, fingers, or other limbs. Keeping lots of toys around for the puppy to play with is very important to a well behaved dog. Enjoy!

Puppies like to play; there's something wrong if they don't. However, recognize the signs of an overly aggressive puppy. Growling and nipping are two red flags that should be addressed immediately. Give your puppy a toy in lieu of your anger. Don't yell and never hit your dog. Be firm and assertively say no when your pup goes astray.

Hard to tell. A lot of puppies play pretty rough when they're small and then calm down later. Of course, in some breeds it's worse than in others: a dachshund that's a little irritable can get away with a lot, but if you have a pit bull, you have a responsibility to make sure he's safe. Go see a trainer.

It depends on how your puppy is acting. Most puppies play a little rough, but it's only because they don't know any better. Give it time and things may change.

Puppies are like young children, they will tend to play rough sometimes, you just have to attend to them and correct them accordingly.

If your puppy is drawing blood on you, he is playing too rough. There needs to be a balance between play and abuse. Just be strict but playful.
