How does a puppy play with a grown dog?

A puppy jumps on and mouths an adult dog, just as he would another puppy. He also runs around the adult dog barking. This continues until the adult scolds him.

it depends on the breeds but usually the puppy is very curious about the grown dog and will be more playful that the grown dog

Puppies should show submission (roll over). Grown dogs let puppies run, snap, yip. Both will put front paws on ground with rears up to show they are ready to play.

The best possible think for a puppy is to get acquainted with grown dogs. It helps them to know there place (like in a pack).
