If you assume that your child is sleeping too much talk to his pediatrician. Every time your child goes to sleep write down the time he goes to sleep and then when he wakes up. Take the total of hours a day he sleeps to his Doctor and have him tell you if it's normal.

Yes, definitely it is very good for normal health. If your baby is 10 months their brain wants more rest for than normal. Don't worry

You didn't put how much they are sleeping, so it's hard to say. Most 10 months old though, should sleep about 12 hours at night straight, plus a nap or two during the day (each nap about an hour or so), so on average in a 24 hour period, they generally sleep approximately 13 hours.

By 10 months of age a child should be able to easily sleep 12 hours each night without waking for a feeding. Your child should also be taking at least 1 to 2 naps each day for approximately 1 to 2 hours each.
