Is MS Office compatible with XP Pro?

Answer by  rocubr (14)

Yes, definitely. Microsoft Office is an office program that is compatible with all forms of windows operating systems. This is because both Microsoft Office and Windows XP Pro are made by Microsoft. Microsoft Office was originally made for Windows operating systems, and even though you can now get MS Office for Mac, it still works with all versions of windows.

Yes it is--even Office 2007. At the same time, there are some less expensive open source alternatives to Microsoft Office. For example you can find the open source office-type software called Open Office. This will also run on XP of any flavor and will not require the learning curve that Office 2007 currently requires.

Yes, all version of Microsoft Office should be compatible with Windows XP Pro. Even versions released for Windows 7 should have a backwards compatible installation capability. If you use a newer version of Office with an older version of XP, so newer features may not work, but it still will be functional.
