Is levaquin safe during pregnancy?

I would not reccomend taking any medicines while you are pregnant. It will get in your babies system. Check with your doctor and see if there is anything else that you can do.

Not medical advice: As of right now Levaquin an antibiotic is safe during pregnancy. Although , there have been no case studies done on pregnet women. I would ask your OBGYN to discuss your concerns.

There's a concern with Levaquin. The medication has not been tested with humans, but it's been shown to harm fetuses of lab animals with very high doses. The FDA encourages an equivalent prescription antibiotic to be on the safe side. Call your doctor tomorrow, talk to the nurse, and see if there's a substitute.
