It would be more worth your time and money if you just replace it with a newer model. While you might save money now by just repairing it, it could always break again.

I think repiaring a Uniden 2.4 phone isn't that worth it unless it has sentimental value on you. Repairing it and buying a new one doesn't have much difference in cost, so it will be practical to buy a new one.

Uniden phones, unfortunately, aren't known for their longevity. The cost of the phones is such that it costs nearly as much to replace one as it does to purchase another. If the base is working properly, just pick up a replacement handset.

As cheap as cordless phones are nowadays it is probably better just to buy new one. Chances are it will outlast a repaired old one.
