Is it worth it to invest in a high-interest cd?

Absolutely. It depends how high that "high-interest" rate is in most cases. If you have money available that you won't use for awhile and are looking for a safe bet to make sure you get a return on it, CDs are a very viable option.

CDs (Certificates of Deposit) are quite safe investment instruments. But they quality depends on the issue bank. If bank is paying high interests, it can be a sign that issuer has some financial difficulties. Anyway, I would recommend to invest only 25-50% into anything that pays high interest.
