Not true, while a person can not have a great amount of passions they can have more than one. Too many passions could label a person as crazy or worse. There are many examples of multiple passions, such as passion for art and passion for sex or drugs, intermingled passions. Great religious leaders passion for words, passion for money.

It could be partly true. There is time in life for several passions but you won't be totally dedicated for both. If you have only one passion or hobby you can devote all of your time to it. Although, you can still be dedicated to more than one passion at a time.

No, you can have many passions in your life, but its best to have then one at a time. Think about your life span, it would be silly to only have one passion.

I think this is a very pessimistic view. It is possible to have many passions in life. A person can have passion for anything in their life, from their job, to their family, to a hobby, or even two or three hobbies. Limiting oneself to just one true passion makes for a very narrow life.
