Is it safe to give a saline enema to cats?

My cat has constipation issues and I was considering giving her an enema.

Do not please! I killed my cat giving her a saline pediatric enema I either ruptured her bowel or sent her into cardiac arrest. My heart is broken and I do not want this to happen to another innocnet animal or their owner

It would be very unwise to give an enema to a cat, saline or otherwise. The potential for rupturing a bowel and killing your animal is high.

It is safe to give your cat an enema. But I'm not sure that would help with constipation. I would suggest giving her more fiber or taking her to the vet.

You need to consult a vet before giving any medication or administering any kind of procedure to your cat. Cats have very delicate systems and you could accidentally cause some irreparable damage to your beloved pet. A vet will advise you on the best course of treatment for your cat.

It can be a little dangerous; though it's expensive, you should probably take her to the vet instrad of attempting to do this kind of thing at home and injuring her.
