It is safe, educational and a great experience, provided that you participate and monitor the letters. Make this agreement with your child before the communication starts. You'll know right away if something is not right or appropriate and you can resolve it quickly before there is a problem.

I believe that it is safe for children to have pen pals although i would suggest that if you decide to allow your child to have a pen pal then the parents should read each letter and verify the safety of your childs letters.

Yes, it is safe as long as you monitor their letters. As a matter of fact, it is a great way for your kids to learn about other cultures and places.

Pen pal should be of the same age range Monitor what information they are sharing. Guidance is very important. For me it is ok as long as i'm involve in it.
