You can compare car prices with similar types. Comparing a BMW with a Kia isn't going to do anything because they are completely different classes of cars. However, when you are trying to figure out what to purchase, comparing autos of similar quality may help you decide which to go with.

Depending on the amount of time you want to spend investigating, it is very realistic to compare prices AND the perks and services you receive for that price.
