It all depends on the car. A Malibu will get better mileage than a Pilot but a Suburban is worse than a Civic. Honda wins with hybrid vehicles overall but Chevy has the Volt coming out that uses no gas at all.
All gas mileages for newer cars are listed on the fuel economies site. I would say that Hondas have better economy. Unlike Honda, Chevrolet make larger vehicles with more power.
