While it is possible to develop an allergy to any substance including alcohol, it is unlikely. To determine if it is a true allergy, drink a very small amount of an alcoholic beverage and chart your symptoms. If it is an allergy, you should show symptoms even though the amount was small.

It is possible to be allergic to anything. You could either be allergic to the alcohol or another ingredient in the drink as well
