I don`t think the actual joint can be replaced but a pin can be used to repair bones and joints.

You will probably need to wear some type of boot for a few weeks, but overall you will likely see a huge improvement in functioning within a couple of months.

I recommend doing other things to fix the problem. Big toe joint replacement is not normally necessary, however it can be done.

Yes, a big toe's joint could definitley be replaced, since it is the largest of all toe joints. All that would be necessary is a good surgeon.
