Any kind of foot pain can usually be related to your posture or how you are walking. If you pronate when you step it can put more pressure there.

If you recently injured your foot, you could have a broken bone. If this is a chronic problem not related to an injury, you might have arthritis in the toe joint. If your toe is misshapen (bulging out at the bottom) you probably have a bunion. More unlikely, toe pain can be a symptom of gout. See your doctor.
