Is it okay to swim in the family salt water pool with stitches near my eye?

I have four stitches.

No. The salt will make the wound sting and it is possible that bacteria from the pool will get into your wound to prevent healing. Try using a waterproof bandage.

Yes. Though it might sting a little when the water hits your stitches, salt water kills bacteria and therefore makes safe and okay for you to swim in the pool.

It would be best to wait as the salt water will cause pain and irritation. Depending on the type of stitches you have it may cause them to dissolve partially also.

It would probably be ok but the salt will sting if the wound is exposed. I'd suggest not getting that area wet if you really want to swim.
