What is normal for one person may not be normal for the next. However, braxton hicks contractions could possibly be to blame. They are sometimes painless, sometimes not. Sometimes they actually mimick "real" labor, and can actually be on and off for weeks prior to delivery. If you truly believe labor has begun, please contact your OB/GYN to verify.

These are called Braxton Hicks Contractions. They are contractions but are not actually labor pains that indicate birth. You may experience these in your third trimester. If you experience them sooner contact your physician.

Yes, and normally these are called Braxton Hicks contractions. They can occur from the third month on but are not usually felt that early on. This can also be a sign of impending labor. If they are painful then seeing your doctor is advised. They will run a stress test to make sure baby is doing ok.

Yes. This is not unusual at all. In fact, you may not have noticed it, but you've probably been having Braxton Hicks contractions throughout your pregnancy. You should call your doctor if you have real contractions every 3-5 minutes for more than an hour as this is a sign you are in active labor.

Yes, these are usually considered Braxton Hicks. They tend to be normal during your end stages of your pregnancy. Nothing to worry about.
