As in many parts of the world there are certain laws governing what.... and what not to wear, while driving a motor vehicle. But I feel quietly confidant that if you where to go out for a drive, and then get pulled over by the local police, wearing nothing but flip-flops and smile. Then it would be illegal!

No it's not illegal. Most people also think it is illegal to drive barefoot also, but it is a misconception. As far as I know wearing flip-flops is legal in every state.

No. Actually you do not have to wear any type of footwear anywhere in the United States to operatate a motor vehilce. It is a common urban myth that you have to wear shoes. See www. gobarefoot. com.

No, it is not illegal to drive in flip-flops in Nebraska, for the sole reason that the population of drivers in Nebraska, is not high, compared to larger population states, where it is illegal to drive in flip-flops. However, you should not try, as this poses many dangers to everyone.

No it is not against the law to drive in flip-flops. However, it isn't a safe thing to do and it is easier to just take off your shoe and drive in bare feet.
