Is it hard to go from a BSN in nursing to a MD?

It is hard to get into medical school to begin with. As long as you have all the pre-med requirements for the med-school you are applying to, you actually have more practical experience than most biologist who go to medschool.

You would be required to apply to, be accepted at, and attend a four-year medical school. Medical schools require rigorous pre-requisite classes be completed at the baccalaureate level prior to admission. Additionally, you would need to complete a residency of several years in order to be eligible for licensure.

It isn't any more difficult. If the BSN was earned previously, refreshers in the upper levels of basic sciences are a must before the MCATs.

It is not an easier route to go through nursing and then become an MD. One must still go to medical school just like any other BS graduate.
