In babies the first set of teeth is known as milk teeth. At the age of 6 onwards the teeth begin to fall and it will be replaced by another set of teeth called permanent teeth.Root canal treatment is to preserve teeth. So in babies root canal treatment is not necessary.

A root canal is only needed to save a tooth that a child needs. The front teeth, needed for eating and learning to speak, should be saved.
