It's not bad at all to mow wet grass, it's like saying it's bad for your car to drive through a puddle.

It is not as much bad, as it is difficult. You will get messy, and the grass might not look as neat. It just makes more sense to mow in between waterings, unless mother nature is generous with precipitation than you have to work around that.

Grass is much more difficult to mow when it is wet. The clippings will clump together and you will have to empty your bag more often or, if you have a mulching or blower mower, you will have to clear the discharge of clumped grass. It also leaves the grass looking uneven and puts a strain on your lawnmower.

Grass can be cut when wet but it is better to cut grass when it is dry. Wet grass tends to rip when it is wet rather than cutting. It is also not very good for the mower to cut wet grass. The wet grass stays in the mover parts and clogs the mower.

it's not bad, just sucks...if you must then raise the blade and move at half ur usual pace(or mow it twice, but why?). sharpen the blade if you know how. rake up what u can to avoid the clumps killing what it smothers. unclog the blade as needed.

If you live in the Pacific NW, it's going to rain a lot... you may have to mow when it's wet sometimes! Tip: paint some thick cooking oil on the blades before mowing. Nothing will stick!

No, I don't believe so, as long as you don't make a practice of it! While it may leave muddy wheel treads, I know from experience that the grass does in fact actually cut and still look nice!

Yes ,the reasons why, are wet grass clumps and your mower works harder. The grass adheres to the under deck and builds up quickly. The best time to cut is not early morning when it's dew,but after the sun has warmed the ground, after lunch or late afternoon.
