Is it against the law for a person who had you served to be on the property with you when you get served?

It is not against the law for them to be present at the time of service, but they cannot be the ones who are serving you. You are not allowed to serve somebody papers when it directly benefits the server. The person who served you has to file an affidavit of service afterwards as well.

Unless there is an order of protection against the party in question, there are no laws prohibiting where he can and cannot be. If it is your private property in question, you can ask an individual to leave. If you were elsewhere, you can leave.
