If a man has a child from a previous relationship, he may be anxious about bringing the new girlfriend around; For several reasons. It is a problem if the anxiety persists, or if you push too hard for a relationship with his daughter.

It's a tricky situation with no definite answer. It depends on the age of the daughter and how comfortable the man is. I'd say that now it's after a year it should definitely happen soon, and you may want to ask him about it. The father/daughter bond is huge, he'll protect her from anything, including emotional issues from dating others.
