Is Gain good at stain removal?

Or should I go with a different brand?

Gain will work fine on most stains, however stains composed of certain ingredients require special treatment. These include protein, blood, ink, mustard, red wine and oil/fat based stains.

This is a comparable product to higher priced brands. For exceptional stubborn stains, the detergent can be used to either pre-soak in the sink for an hour, or dab directly on the stain, rubbing together to distribute, for 20 minutes prior washing. If stain remains, running through a 2nd cycle will definitely do the trick.
