Yes exercise is specially important during pregnancy. Exercise helps you to keep fit during all stages of your live, so it can really make a big difference for your condition during pregnancy. Exercise can also help you to reduce stress, stomach aches and to ease physical pains like leg cramps.

It is good to do low impact exercises during pregnancy, as long as you do not have any restrictions from your doctor. For example, if you have a condition like placenta previa, where the placenta covers the birth canal, your doctor may want you to hold off.
