Even if your aquarium has a filter, a weekly or biweekly water change is usually necessary to prevent harmful chemical build up. A 25% water change is recommended for all fish tanks but especially for goldfish. Goldfish and carp are slightly dirtier than other species and will pollute the tank in greater amounts making a water change necessary.

Regular water changes are always neccessary. You should do a small water change about ten percent once a week as regular maintanance.

Yes, water changes are still an important part of maintenance for your aquariums upkeep. Especially if you have a sick fish or suspect that you have a sick fish.

If you treated your tank for sick fish, I would change the water. But, if you keep your filters changed/ clean then you shouldn't have to change the water.

Unless it starts to smell (ammonia) it is not necessary to change the water , but do 20%water change per week.

Yes. Water must be changed rather frequently in any tank; but even moreso in a tank with a goldfish than any other fish. Goldfish are gluttons, and they tend to produce much more nitrates (bad stuff) than species of comparable size. Change 1/3 of tank water once a week to keep them healthy.

It is not necessary to do all the time but it cant hurt anything doing it occasionally to make it fresh even though it went through a filter.

Yes because you will still get some alge and plus goldfish produce alot of amonia and there for it would good to change it.

Yes it is necessary to change the water with a filter. Other waise it will die. Tank must be clean. Every day change the water with filter. And give limited food.
