To be honest, I have never heard of Blanton Whiskey. To me, some of the best whiskey I have ever had was brands that were not world renown. The best whiskey I have had are ones that no one else has ever heard of.
It is difficult to say what is the best whiskey, as everyone has a different taste. However, Blanton's is a good bourbon. As it is a single-barrel whiskey, taste varies.
