Is Benadryl cream safe for use with babies?

Any external cream like benadryl is safe for babies, but if she is not crying or acting uncomfortable then I would wait and speak with her Pediatrician just in case.

The fact that something is topical does NOT mean it's safe. If it didn't SOAK IN to the skin it wouldn't be effective at all!  add a comment

Read all the information on the box to see if it's helpful, then perhaps call your nurse or pediatricin and ask them.

Benadryl Cream should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 2 years old; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.

No, I would make an appointment with your doctor, who can prescribe a steroid cream that is appropriate for your infant.

First, ask your doctor. It would be important to know what kind of rash it is and why your baby is breaking out.

Is it really necessary to treat the rash? Is it bothering her any? If not, leave it be. If you must, you can use a bit of the cream.

Over the counter Benadryl cream should be fine for your baby. However, the rash may not go away if you use Benadryl cream. If it's not an itchy rash and if does not improve, you need to see a pediatrician right away.
