Is an electric jar opener worth the expense?

Not really. An electric jar opener can help you open a jar, but the space needed and the hassel to connect, setup, and lastly save the thing, can easyly jeopard the befefits. Personally i think that a gentle shake, a little hot water in the lid and a little rubber mat, can help a lot more to open a jar

Depending on whether or not the consumer is handicap or geriatric. Most senior adults prefer the electric opener because of arthritis issues, and others prefer the convienence.

If you are not very strong than an electric jar opener would be a very handy thing to have in your house.

I would not think so, unless someone really has trouble with arthritis or other health issues. A regular mat that opens jars works great for me and is very handy.
