No. You may have acid reflux concurrently with your lupus, but it is not a symptom, per se, of it. More common symptoms of lupus would be painful joints, abnormal hair loss, unexplained fevers, sensitivity to the sun, mouth ulcers, extreme fatigue, a red rash and swollen glands. Lupus is a rheummatic condition not a digestive condition.

Unfortunately, it is. Lupus is an automimmune disease which attacks mutiple systems in the body. It can cause many problems with the digestive tract, including the esophagus. It effects the esophagus by causing abnormal muscle function, which can cause food and stomach acid to come back up into the esophagus.

Acid reflux is not specifically a sysptom of Lupus on it's own, but because Lupus can have so many sysptoms, it could be a part of the picture. The whole patient with all sysptoms needs to be evaluated. All symptons need to be considered and acid reflux could be one of them.

I don't think it is, you might have to go see your doctor to find out more about it. I'm almost positive it doesn't though. I think they are not related at all.
