People actually collect lost golf balls and resell them. Used golf balls are not worth much. If you can sell them for $ 0.50 each, you are doing well. Most likely you will sell them for less at garage sales.
You can use the golf ball yourself when you play. I know one guy that has NEVER bought a box of golf balls but only plays with found balls. If you collect enough you can sell them to others for a reduced price. But used golf balls are not valuable.
