Is a mammal's venom different from a snake's?

Not fundamentally. One mammal whose venom has been fully characterized is the American short-tailed shrew. Its venom, like snake and lizard venom, contains kallikrein-like subtances.

Yes! Absolutely, because a snake's venom is directly injected into your blood stream once they bite you but mammal's when they bite you do not really have venom so they will just leave an ugly mark on you! Snakes venom can kill you, mammal's venom cannot! So make sure you stay away from snakes!
