Is a hollow-body guitar superior?

It's not really that one's better than the other, but they both have their strengths. Hollow body guitars are known for exceptional sustain and tone that lends itself well to country, rockabilly and similar types of music; however, they wouldn't be ideal for heavier music such as metal or heavy rock.

A guitar with a hollow body is useful depending on your needs a musician you may feel a need for a lighter body guitar and thus a holy body guitar will be better for you, they have no difference in performance.
