A ferret that is handled gently from a young age won't bite. Keep the litter box clean and have buy two for company. The downfall is to be friendly they must run freely in your house each day and can get into unusual places like boxsprings or sofa cushions.

Ferrets can make good pets for people and kids. Ferrets are curious and can get into trouble around the house, so it is important the ferrets are supervised.

I don't think they are a good pet for small kids. Ferrets are pretty fragile looking and might get stepped on while scurrying around the house and nipping at heels.

A ferret can be a good pet, they are often regarded as cute by kids. They have a musk smell about them unless they have their scent glands removed.

I had 4 ferrets they all died around age 6.They are good pets if you have the time for them.they need lots of attention.

I do not think a ferret is a good pet. They are soft and cute. THey seem odd though. I would be fearful about how to provide the proper care for such a strange pet. THey are not like a dog or cat. THey may have strange dietary needs, and may not be able to communicate when they are sick.
